October 5th-9th
Principal's Message:
📅 No School Monday – Staff Professional Development
A reminder that there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, October 5, as our staff will be participating in professional development.
We look forward to welcoming our Leos back to campus on Tuesday!
PEACE Week! What an incredible PEACE Week at Lee! A huge thank you to our parents and families for helping make the week so successful. Whether it was helping your Leo participate in our dress-up days, reinforcing the messages at home, or simply talking with your child about what it means to be a peacemaker, your support makes a difference.
PEACE Week is about much more than fun dress-up days. It gives us an opportunity to intentionally focus on kindness, inclusion, empathy, respect, and standing up for others. These are skills that help our students build stronger friendships, work through disagreements, and create a school where every Leo feels like they belong.
🚶♀️🚲 Walk & Ride to School Day – Wednesday!
On Wednesday, we will celebrate Walk & Ride to School Day! This is always a fun opportunity for our FamiLee to come together, get some exercise, and start the school day as a community.
We will meet at Rossmoor Park at 7:30 a.m. and begin walking to Lee at 7:45 a.m.
Students and families are encouraged to walk, bike, scooter, or roll with us. We would love to see a huge group of Leos making their way through Rossmoor together!
Thank you for another great week and for everything you do to make Lee such a special place.

We hope you will join us for this timely and informative evening as we work together to support the mental health, safety, and well-being of our students in the age of AI.

Principal's Message:
What an incredible week to be a Leo!
We are thrilled to announce that our LeOlympics fundraiser officially set a NEW SCHOOL RECORD, raising more than $137,000 from our Lee families! When we add another $8,500 generously donated by local businesses, our total reaches an unbelievable $145,000!
$145,000! That number represents so much more than a successful fundraiser. It represents opportunities for our students. It means continued support for the programs, resources, hands-on learning experiences, and enrichment that help make Lee such a special place. Most importantly, this incredible generosity helps set our school up for success not only this year, but next year as well.
To every family who donated, shared our fundraiser, encouraged their Leo, or helped us reach this historic total — THANK YOU! Your generosity directly impacts our students and allows us to continue providing the exceptional educational experience they deserve.
🌟 Lee Under the Stars
The FamiLee spirit continued this weekend at our first Lee Under the Stars!
We have to admit, we weren't quite sure what to expect. This event replaced Camp Lee, a longtime community favorite, and we wondered whether a new tradition could capture that same sense of excitement and togetherness.
Our FamiLee answered that question loud and clear!
More than 200 people joined us for an evening filled with a scavenger hunt, musical chairs, a dance party, a movie, and so much more. Seeing our students running around campus, families laughing together, and our community simply enjoying one another's company was a wonderful reminder that the best part of Lee isn't a program, fundraiser, or event.
It's the people.
Between a record-breaking $147,000 raised through LeOlympics and an amazing night with more than 200 members of our community coming together, this week showcased exactly what makes Lee special.
We aren't just families who happen to attend the same school.
We are truly a FamiLee.
Join us for Monday's Flag Ceremony where Mr. Willems will be slimed and go through the human car wash!

Principal's Message:
🐆 LeOlympics Update: We’re on Our Way!
FamiLee, LeOlympics is going strong, and we are currently on pace to hit our fundraising goal! Thank you to everyone who has donated, shared our fundraiser, and helped us continue the incredible momentum.
While watching Mr. Willems embarrass himself is certainly a wonderful reason to donate, there is actually a slightly more important reason behind LeOlympics. 😁
Reaching our fundraising goal means we will have solidified the funding needed to ensure our Leos receive a world-class education not only this year, but next year as well. The hands-on learning our students experience in the STEAM Lab, along with access to our library and book checkout, are vital parts of developing curious, creative, and well-rounded students. These opportunities simply would not be possible without the incredible support of our FamiLee.
And speaking of incredible opportunities…
Please join us at our Flag Ceremony on Monday, September 14th, because things are about to get interesting.
🎤 First: Mr. Willems will be singing Taylor Swift. Will it be good? Probably not. Will it be memorable? Absolutely.
🥧 Then: Because our FamiLee reached 100% PTA membership, Mr. Willems will be rewarded for this incredible accomplishment in the most appropriate way possible…with a pie directly to the face!
Yes, apparently this is what happens when you combine school spirit, fundraising, PTA membership, and a principal who makes questionable promises. It should be one of our most entertaining Flag Ceremonies of the year, and I hope you can join us to celebrate!
Most importantly, thank you for continuing to support LeOlympics. Every donation—big or small—helps us provide opportunities for our students that make Lee such a special place to learn and grow.
